On the hunt I’m after crew*

It’s no fun being the lone captain of a ship without a crew to order about. Dogma, you see, seems to have fallen overboard (it’s been a stormy week) and is nowhere to be seen. No matter, such things happen at sea. Rather than mourn this sudden loss I’ve turned the ship about, headed back to port, given the hull a new lick of paint and put the word around the local taverns that I’m looking for crew to help man the posts.

Basically, I’m eager to seek good writers to help turn this site into something more than just a couple of people talking about how great the next edition of EON is going to be, or how you should pre-order the 400-plus pages of awesome EVE info that is ISK Vol.1. As you all know, that stuff can get a little tedious after a while.

Already I’ve managed to recruit Cailais (of Hydrostatic Capsule fame) and a certain purveyor of flame-adorned hats has almost been tempted aboard. I plan to approach a couple of others who might be happy to write EVE-inspired words from time to time. Of course if you think I should be approaching you, feel free to get in touch first.

In this endeavour I really don’t want to drag people away from their day-to-day EVE lives; The Hydrostatic Capsule is brilliant and needs to keep going. The plan, quite simply, is to offer visitors to the site well-written articles on a broad range of EVE subjects with no agenda or schedule attached. We all may end up dissecting the latest dev blog, or we may completely ignore it. All will depend on what individually inspires us to start hammering on our keyboards – which is what blogging is all about, after all. If something interests the writers, it should interest readers. We shall leave all the in-depth pondering to great sites like EVE Report and Tribune… or save it up for the next edition of EON… which, as always, will be great.

*My apologies. It seemed like as good a day as any to reference Duran Duran song lyrics.
