The EON crew landed safely last night having spent five memorable days at Fanfest in the lovely city of Reykjavik. We’ve met some great people, shared many ideas, and talked at length about the world of EVE. Each and every one of you had a different story to tell and it always amazes me that one game can mean so much to so many in different ways.
Anyhow, whilst manning the EON stall, there was a huge booklet which stole the limelight, one that a good proportion of the player base already recognise. I’m talking about the ISK Guide, of course. We only printed five copies for Fanfest in order to create excitement and it certainly did that. It’s safe to say that we’re going to get quite a few orders coming our way. In terms of pricing, we’re probably going to go with a $30 pre-order price (rising to $35 once it’s released), a price reached after many discussions with the players. Some were more than willing to pay a far greater sum than that, but as shipping costs are an addition to that base price, $30 seemed fair. You’ll be able to pre-order shortly at the EVE Store in about two to three weeks time and I’ll give you an exact date in the near future. The picture below shows it being paraded on the main stage in all its glory.
Anyone who sends in their pictures of Fanfest will be in with a chance of receiving the latest copy of EON and if your picture particularly hits the spot with us, it might be used in Issue #023 (with your permission of course).
