As the title says, it’s the end of the EON Christmas sale on Sunday so you have today and tomorrow to take advantage of our generosity of all back issues which are half price. If you’re missing a few copies out of your collection, now is the best time to do so, just simply go to the store and use the code EONDEC1050 at checkout.
I had some sort of response to the best solo kill competition and I can now announce the winner. Meatay Speeday showed us how to use bombs and use them effectively. So two for the price of one in the same fight, here’s what he has to say;
“Not exactly stellar stuff but I did get a two for one”
Some of the others included Apocalypse vs Curse and Ishkur vs Falcon. Apoc and Falcon won those fights but it’s to be expected. So congrats Meatay, 25mil is on it’s way to you. Unfortunately, there is no result for the video competition so that’ll have to be run over until next friday’s downtime. I hope to have some entries by then.
I had an interesting mail come through last night in response to my solo killmail competition. Although it did not quite answer the brief, I thought it was worth a mention nevertheless.
“So there I was, finishing up a nice haul and this pip-squeak of a cloaky appears and yells, “Your money or your life!”. Someone should have warned the idiot that haulers got what they call inertia. We don’t just stop in anything less then a small moon’s diameter and perhaps he ought to decloak just a bit further away next time.”
Okay, this isn’t a solo kill or anything cool like that. However, I got this little glitch when swapping ships and it looked ridiculously hilarious to me.
News just in, well for me that is, that another titan has spectacularly bit the dust as of last night. It’s nice to see people are actually using them instead of keeping them as trophies although you wouldn’t catch me using one!
Just found a
new site where you can take your own EvE Personality Test, here’s my result.
Eve is a PvP game. The PvE parts of the game are there to drive the economy in order to produce more PvP. Multiplayer is key, and even though solo-play can be fun, the game should be balanced as a multiplayer game. High-sec is as much of a warzone as low- and nul-sec. It’s just a matter of finding ways to get at the people living there. You usually play with other people, because when the going gets tough, the tough get some backup.
