The EON office is quiet and nothing is stirring – apart, that is, for the gurgling milk beast that has been left to fester in the fridge and who is probably planning to break free of his plasti-cardboard carton cell. With no-one around to challenge him when he does, we will undoubtedly return in the new year to find the fridge door open and a mass of barely chilled proto-cheese seeping across the floor. (At least someone managed to get the washing up done before we closed up this year. Last January each cup had a thriving mini branch of microbial Starbucks in its base.)
But enough of our kitchen hygiene – or obvious lack of. The real reason for this rambling nonsense is to announce that MMM Publishing is closed for Christmas, meaning that if you do intend to buy one of our excellent magazines, posters or other paper-based items, it won’t be mailed out until we return on 4th January. The half-price sale (don’t forget to apply code EONDEC1050 when checking out) is still going on of course, and a new magazine will be ready in a week or so, so the EVE Store cogs will still be turning in our collective absence.
Which leaves me to wish the politically correct among you a happy winter holiday, the atheists a good few days off and the rest a merry ol’ Christmas. We hope you enjoyed EON during what has been another interesting year for EVE. With so much on the cards for next year, the next twelve months are going to be just as significant – probably more so… and not just for EVE.
…Assuming we have an office to come back to.
