about us

E·ON is published by MMM Publishing, a London-based company that specialises in magazines specfic to online games and their communities. If it wasn’t such a disgustingly mis-used phrase, one could say that MMM produced magazines “by gamers, for gamers” – which although true, is one of those statements that’s been hijacked so many times that you want to punch the chops of the next person who utters is – who won’t be me, by the way. Needless to say that everyone who writes for E·ON is an active EVE player whose knowledge of the game far surpasses any academic journalistic qualifications. That’s not to say MMM aren’t in possession of a wealth of publishing experience, but then they don’t do much of the writing either – they just run a spell-check over things and make sure there’s enough paper in the printer.

I’ll update this page one day with biographies**, but until then here’s a run down of all the famous EVE characters who have written for E·ON (in no particular order):

Avven Jax, Laird, Tarminic, DigitalCommunist, Reiisha, Terrantus Novalum, Discorporation, Spacedrake Storyteller, Ifni, Herko Kerghans, Pulgor, Stavros, The Cosmopolite, Nyphur, Yoshito Sanders, Sivona, DNightmare, Prezzer, Hoshi, Rhaegar, LaVista Vista, Istvaan Shogaatsu, Urban Mongrel, Kaaii, Biff Steel, James Lyrus, Tripoli, Pagus III, Winterblink, Benolipax, Verone, Omithar, Arrs Grazznic, Treenara Mazouk, Farjung, Boda Khan, Jade Constantine, spiralJunkie, Shaun Livingstone, Jeran Tek, Santiago Cortes, Kai Zion, Lallara Zhuul, Gnauton

…and there are countless others who have helped out, many of whom are CCP, many of whom are not – without which E·ON would just be the name of an energy company.

As for me, well… another time perhaps. I’m a just a medium in all this, the fuzzy link between the real-world of MMM and the the lost souls listed above.

Above: The white shirts of the EON “Pub Team” being interviewed by EveTV’s StevieSG at Fanfest IV (November 2007). Yes, those magazine covers are life-size – we are actually very teensy and our shoes are made by elves. (L-R: Thingy, Wotsit, StevieSG, Me and Doo-Dah)
